Since 1938, in Barranquilla, a coastal seaport on the Caribbean Sea, the manufacture of high-quality balloons began in Colombia at the initiative of Emil Loewy, a native of Austria. Over the years, this initiative took shape until it became Sempertex SA, the world leader in latex balloons for decoration and entertainment.

All our products comply with Resolution 0686 of 2.018 of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, Directive 2009/48 / EC, Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) / Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) of the European Union and Portaria 563 of 29/12/2019 and Portaria 118 of 06/03/2015 of Brazil, which regulate compliance for the safety and conformity of toys for all balloons, which are manufactured, imported and marketed in their territories. The tests were carried out under the International Standard, EN71-1, EN 71-2, EN 71-3. Additionally, we comply with EN 71-9, EN 71-12 standards. These tests analyze MECHANICAL AND PHYSICAL PROPERTIES, FLAMMABILITY, MIGRATION OF PHYSICAL ELEMENTS, FREE OF NITROSAMINE AND HEAVY METAL CONTENT.
These tests are carried out by SGS Institut Fresenius, a demanding and world-renowned German laboratory, whose objective is the reliable application of high-level normalized standards for quality and safety. In Colombia, they are carried out by SGS Colombia under the CRS15125 certificate.

Our processes are certified under the ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards where we strengthen our commitment to satisfy the needs of our customers, offering them a high quality product and excellent service, through safe processes for our customers. collaborators and friendly with the environment. The scope of our comprehensive management system includes the design, development, manufacture and marketing of latex balloons and marketing of party supplies.
We have BASC Certification, this standard is governed by the CTPAT guidelines and requirements of the United States government, which guarantees security in our supply chain and international trade activities, focused on minimizing the risks of drug trafficking, financing of terrorism, money laundering and any other illicit activity in our exports and imports.
We have Licenses authorized by Disney, which guarantee that our balloons not only meet all the technical specifications of design and color of the Disney characters, but also guarantee compliance with the CODE OF ETHICS AND CONDUCT FOR MANUFACTURERS, which require guidelines to guarantee the safety, well-being of our collaborators and the protection of the environment.
Our balloons do not have fillers and/or plasticizing elements, which reduce manufacturing cost by acting as fillers, reducing latex content, and potentially increasing biodegradation times. Like Sempertex balloons, the inks we use to manufacture printed balloons are made from a mixture of harmless and non-toxic substances, which makes them safe to use.
